Men drivers vs women drivers is always a topic of debate. There are many reasons to have this debatable discussion all the time. Lets see an example which I experienced today.

I was taking seep of tea at the tea stall. A guy age somewhat around 18-19 years, wearing a helmet, pull out his bike smoothly from the stack of bikes, ignited his bike within a second. He looks forward and backward, noticed a car is coming from front, he wait for 10-15 seconds to pass the car. As soon as car passed, he accelerate his bike, and switch to the correct track while looking at his side mirrors. Very smoothly he gone to his directions.

After him, a lady came by, age somewhat around 24-25 years. She pulled her scooter from the bunch of other bikes, it was quite easy because it is not parked very closely to other bikes. Then she opens the scooters dicky, grab some accessories like full sleeves hand gloves, a scarf, sun-glasses etc. She comb her hairs, and fix the scarf around it. Then she wore full sleeves hand gloves to avoid the tanning. After that the sun-glasses. She literally took around 10-12 minutes to do all these stuff.

The next minute she ignite her scooter and start driving. A car from front side was coming at the high speed, the driver inside literally stand on his brakes. Car screeching sound was louder, and car stopped around 3-4 foots from the lady. The lady, scared as hell and fell on the road, started cursing the car driver. Some other people take her and her scooter at road side and let the car go, because he is not at all guilty.

Looking at the scenario, you can understand the gender wise priorities to the things. The guy gave priority to check the vehicles around him, and then start driving and also looking in the side mirrors for double check. While the female driver took too much time to do unnecessary stuff related to driving, and then forget the actual driving needs.

पुरुष चालक विरुद्ध महिला चालक हा नेहमीच वादाचा विषय असतो. ही वादग्रस्त चर्चा सतत घडण्याची अनेक कारणे आहेत. आज मी अनुभवलेले एक उदाहरण पाहू.

मी चहाच्या स्टॉलवर चहा घेत होतो. साधारण 18-19 वर्षे वयाच्या मुलाने हेल्मेट घातले, दुचाकी च्या रांगेतून त्याने आपली दुचाकी सहजतेने बाहेर काढली आणि काही क्षणातच त्याची सुरु केली. त्याने मागे आणि पुढे वळून दुसरे वाहन येतेय का म्हणून पहिले. समोरून एक कार येताना दिसली, तो गाडी पुढे जाण्यासाठी 10-15 सेकंद थांबला. कार पुढे गेल्यावर, त्याने त्याच्या दुचाकी ला वेग वाढवला आणि त्याच्या बाजूच्या आरशांत पाहून डाव्या बाजूला सरकला. अगदी सहजतेने तो त्याच्या दिशेला गेला.

पुढच्याच मिनिटाला तिने तिची स्कूटर सुरु केली आणि चालवायला सुरुवात केली. समोरून एक कार भरधाव वेगाने येत होती, आतील चालक ब्रेक लावण्यासाठी अक्षरशः ब्रेक वर उभा राहिला. कारच्या चाकाच्या घासण्याचा जोरात आवाज झाला आणि गाडी त्या मुलीपासून सुमारे 3-4 फुटांवर थांबली. ती भयंकर घाबरली आणि रस्त्यावर पडली. उठून तिने त्या कार चालकाला शिव्या द्यायला सुरुवात केली. इतर काही लोक तिला आणि तिची स्कूटर रस्त्याच्या कडेला घेऊन गेले आणि कार ला जाऊ दिले, कारण त्याची काही चूक नव्हती.

परिस्थिती पाहिल्यास, दोन्ही दुचाकी चालकांनी गोष्टींना प्राधान्यक्रम दिलेला आपण समजू शकता. त्या पुरुष चालकाने त्याच्या आजूबाजूची वाहने तपासण्याला प्राधान्य दिले आणि नंतर गाडी चालवण्यास सुरुवात केली आणि दुहेरी तपासणीसाठी बाजूच्या आरशात देखील पहिले. महिला चालकाने ड्रायव्हिंगशी संबंधित नसलेल्या गोष्टी करण्यात खूप वेळ घेतला आणि नंतर ड्रायव्हिंगच्या वास्तविक गरजा विसरल्या.
